  1. Some have an overload button that needs to be pressed to reset. Others can be unplugged for 20 minutes or so and will reset themselves. Check your manual but if you don't have it, search around the back for a reset. Otherwsie, try unplugging it for awhile

  2. If you don't have anything hooked to it like wires, then it's telling you either the left or right channel or one of the other surround channel amps have shorted internally and needs replacement.....If you cranked it up and it blew then that's the reason why.....

If you didn't crank it up recently, then the amp just died when power was applied to it....that's another possibility.

Lastly, if you play it loud over a LONG period of time the overload sensor on the output line to the speaker connector may have opened up or changed to a higher resistance....

Those resistors are normally only 0.1 to 0.4 ohms and look like a three legged piece of white ceramic that's box-shaped....and that's sent to an overload integrated circuit that may also be at fault too.....

So it's not easy to trouble shoot this circuit without a schematic.

  3. It could also be that one of your speaker wires is shorted - check the speaker wires at the unit and at the speakers.  All it takes is one of those small strands to be touching the other wire to cause a short.
