  1. All the major advancements seem to be coming off of the first recording devices in terms of fast technological advancement.  Once stuff is able to be recorded, photos, sound recordings, computer memory, compact disks, etc. all follow suit and each one leads to a great many additional uses.  Recording technology has evolved relatively quickly since Edison first discovered how to control and harvest electricity.

  2. Some crazy people believe all our technology came from reverse engineering crashed UFOs.

Some discoveries just create a momentum for other discoveries.  Some caveman invents the wheel and all of a sudden you get carts and all kinds of other junk.  Benjamin Franklin figures out how to make electricity work for us and boom shortly after you get telephones, computers, tvs, etc etc all use electricity. One idea can lead to many.

  3. Our technology is at least fifteen hundred to two thousand years behind where we should be because of the church. The church outlawed research and clung to the Ptolemaic view of a Earth centered universe. their strangle hold to knowledge lasted until the 16th century. Costing use 2,000 years of scientific advancement.

All scientific achievement had to be relearned, Thanks to Arabic and Jewish scholars translating ancient scientific discoveries to Latin after the dark ages.

  4. After invention of electricity only . Based on electricity we developed dramatically.

  5. Because we communicate faster.  Look at the inventions over the past 150 years.  Trains, telegraph lines then phones, then airplanes, cars, radio, ideas can travel and can't be suppressed.

  6. The nature of technology is that the more advanced it is, the faster it advances. This is because the current technology is leveraged to create new technology.

For example, we use computers to help us design even more powerful computers, and we use machines to manufacture even more powerful machines.
