A woman at work keep asking me if i have a weight issue ( like anorexia) I'm 5''7 and 120 lbs ( i know i'm slim).I kept repeating that my family doctor said i had a healthy weight as long i don't loose more pounds. My coworker isn't fat (medium size) She always tells me i have a nice face and i smell good but she would like me to pack more pounds.(I'm 28yrs old and she's 45)Why do women act like that ?

  1. Usually, they are jealous.  Sometimes they are genuinely concerned for your health.

  2. Just ignore it. It is none of her business and she can't "Tell you" to put on weight. What's it to her if she "Wants you" to pack on more pounds? Tell her to mind her own business!

  3. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's turned on the TV for the last few decades that there is a seriously challenging beauty standard to be met by women to feel like they measure up. Coupled with the increasing waist size of Americans, we are starting to notice even men struggling with self-image issues.

Of course, it's entirely up to us how much we buy into this nonsense. I think in general we are much more forgiving of our partners little "flaws" than they are themselves. And it certainly doesn't hurt to hit the stair master: good for your health and the bedroom!

  4. Because girls are poo poo heads and have coodies.

  5. Tell her that you don't make comments about her body, and it is rude of her to make comments about your body.  Say "Thank you for your concern but I've told you a million times that my doctor says I'm fine.  My body size is really none of your business.  Would you like me to start telling you that you have nice legs and a nice butt but you need to lose abdominal fat?  No, because that's just as rude as what you're doing when you comment on my body- you offend me."

I had coworkers who constantly accused me of being thin (5'4" and 120 pounds to boot!).  I finally said that it bothered me when they commented about my body, would they like me to comment on their bodies?  They said sorry, they were just trying to compliment me.  And they did stop.

  6. because its a girl thing

  7. Maybe you look too thin? I am sure they are just being maternal. I have told my friend to gain weight ever time I see her for the past ten years. She is about 5ft2 100lbs soaking wet, and while she is not unhealthy skinny, she looks frail.

  8. No idea, probably because people dont include genetics into being healthy. A larger person could seem over weight but have a great health record. But people arent going to ask what your health history is only go by your appearance.
