Why women shave armpit and rarely men? really necessary?

i think it looks disgusting if women have hair there and it is more smelly coz it clings to the hairs .... nice lol =)

Whatever. I don't shave my armpits. I think it is unnecessary. We have all been conditioned by the media and society that hairless is better. Personally i don't want to look like a newborn baby. And its a lie that you'll smell more. I actually smelled worse when i did shave my pits. So its really a personal decision. Some people may think its gross but who cares? Id take a hairy arm pit to a bump razor burned one any day!

However, I'm not a very hairy person anyways...i don't shave my legs either. So yeah...like i said personal choice.

ps guys really don't mind as much as everyone imagines they do...

Well I'm sure it's easier to apply deoderant without pit hair.

Guys really should or something, I find it gross.

More body hair = masculine

You should shave and use deoderant.  I guess men just dont'!?  Most girls do though...armpit hair is not attractive coming out of a tank top.  I do think that if men have a lot of hair they should cut it back some.

It's associated with the Western view of femininity. A lot of European countries' and other cultures' women don't shave their underarms.
