  1. If you look at WHO is doing the most " breeding," you will see that it is generally the poorest of the poor... often in countries where the concept of contraception is virtually unheard of. Those that can afford kids are keeping it down to a reasonable level, and actually, there is a downward turn in the more affluent having any kids at all. This places us in an interesting dilemma, because you could eventually have a world full of very poor and those that can keep the engine of modern society going won't exist.

  2. In the US having more children means collecting more welfare. The welfare crew wants that free money and all of the amenities..

  3. Which people are you talking about.

Most people in Industrialized countries have one or two children.....I think that's pretty slow compared to having 8-10 children a century ago.

  4. I think some people apparently haven't heard of condoms.

  5. the fertility rate is falling.

    That's something.

  6. don't even go there-the government would love to be able to control how many kids people have.I agree that the world is overpopulated, but that is something we cannot control. Some countries have no access to birth control, and some do not believe in it.GOD help us if big brother gets that far into our lives.

  7. The world is not overpopulated. That is a myth you've fallen prey to. Obviously you've travelled very little. When you consider the entire world's population could fit in any one of our 50 states, you realize that "overpopulation" is a seriously misused term by liberal elitists and environmentalists.

  8. In the West it's mostly the ignorant underclasses and uber-religious types who are breeding like rabbits; in a few more generations stupid ugly religious people will be in the majority.  Tragic really.

  9. There is no method of birth control that is 100% effective. I have a friend that is a druggist that had 5 children. He said that his wife was on birth control pills when she became pregnant with the children all 5 times.

  10. i used to think this too, but actually i think the birth rate across the world is falling...

the problem actually is, because of improved medicine and standards of living etc., people are living longer... that's why the world is overpopulated...

  11. In alot of poor countries they have no means of protection, i dont really know though. All i can say is that over population is a huge issue and i am right here in this question with you.
