Why won't Audacity download on my computer?

i downloaded audacity on my laptop which is windows and it worked fine but i didnt have any audio recorded on there so i tried downloading it on my normal pc which is windows too but it keeps saying "setup was unable to create the directry C:\Program Files\Audacity Error 5: access is denied" then i push ok and it says "setup was not completed Please correct the problem and run Setup again". so what do i do to get it to download it?

you can't install it from non-administrator profile.

You can actually download and use portable audacity, no installation needed, so it's not necessary you have the administrative privilege to use the software or even put it on a usb drive to use on other pc.

All you need to make sure after you unzipped(double click on the downloaded file) the software

1. open volumn control, option, properties, make sure the sound card is right, recording, select the input source

2. go to menu, edit, preference, audio i/o tab, the device: boxes for both playback and recording is your sound card name, something like "Realtek High Definition Device", click ok, close audacity, restart audacity.

Then your audacity is ready to use, hope this helps.
