Why won't Beane deal Street?

He needs to be traded. Dumbass Billy Beane traded Rich Harden and yet Street is pitching horribly. Who else agrees? Also, do you guys think that Street will be traded?

  1. Yes he does need to be traded to complete rebuilding. However it is hard to find a taker as most teams are concerned about how his velocity has dipped significantly.

  2. Obviously Beane isn't getting the prospects he wants for Street. He'll be gone by the off-season, so no need to worry.

  3. Beane hasn't gotten an offer he finds satisfying. He may want to do what he did with Isringhausen. Keep him for an eventual championship run, then eventually get compensatory draft picks when he's lost in free agency. It seems strange that he wasn't traded though, since Beane is smart enough to know how much other teams overvalue closers.

  4. i bet street gets traded during the winter meetings... street has struggled of late which took back some of his value... beane should of got sean marshall included in the harden deal

  5. i still say Cano should of won the AL Rookie instead of Street , well had to get that out of my Mind

they will trade him in the winter

  6. street should have been traded, in my opinion that is.

jack cust strikes out wayyyyy too much, but yet beane doesnt trade him.

no one understand why beane does what he does, but somehow it seems to work out in the end. sure they are falling apart right now, but no one should really be surprised by this since they are such a young team who lost their two main pitchers. but im sure they will bounce back, everything will work out fine and no one will be saying "why didnt he trade street" in the long haul

everyone flipped when he traded haren, but im pretty sure that has worked out fine for the a's.
