  1. turn off your iPod before you plug it in.

  2. by i pod i mad

  3. you have to click sync in the ipod menu in itunes.  if you don't want to do that again, at the very top of itunes there's a toolbar.

hit edit > preferences > syncing [it's a tab], and uncheck disable automatic syncing.

that should fix your problem.  chilll :P

  4. It depends what iPod your using and which version of iTunes you have. For example, the 5th generation iPod Classic will only sync with iTunes 7.2+. So try updating iTunes to its newest version.

  5. its probably not set to sync automatically  open itunes and click on edit then preferences click the syncing tab and make sure the box that says disable automatic sync is UNchecked

  6. There's many different things you can try:

    1) Reset your iPod (middle and top buttons at the same time.)

    2) Press the Sync button when the iPod device screen pops up.

    3) Try a different USB cable.  Sometimes the cables get damaged and won't work anymore.  If you don't have an extra cable, plug the cable into the back of your computer instead of your keyboard.

    4) Update your iTunes and iPod.
