Why won't Limewire connect anymore?

Ever since last week (or maybe before) limewire would not connect on my computer (and there was only that one tiny green bar that said "connecting"), and it's the same thing for other people in my household...

how can i get it to work again? otherwise, what's an alternative to limewire? (aside from things like megaupload and 4shared)

i have done some research for both of us. =)

i've been having the same problem... but my other computer hasn't which is strange. supposedly there is some virus that is going around that if downloaded it prevents you from connecting through to limewire. (i prob downloaded it, lol) it could also be b/c you didn't update to the newest version, which i have yet to do.

(Supposedly just like limewire.)

(Supposedly really good. legal and virus free.)

I just had the same problem.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling..didn't help.  Tried turning off firewall..no go. All it needed was more time to connect than it normally did.. Try giving it a while longer
