I was told most used to do that but now it's difficult to find a dentist who will. I have managed without, and have been fine mainly but if I had the choice I would rather be put to sleep.

  1. Can you spell lawsuit?  You can thank your bar association or your favorite lawyer.

  2. Any anesthesia has the risk that the patient won't regain consciousness, and so dentists don't put people to sleep unnecessarily anymore.  My dentist prefers not to even use use local anesthetics on me if he can avoid it, since it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes taking more than one injection to freeze the gum properly.

  3. Why take the risk of general anesthesia? There are other types of oral sedatives a dentist can provide that have alot less risk. Look for a dentist who provides oral sedation
