  2. do you have any piercings on your face?

  3. they probably dont like u!!!!!

  4. well first of all..

do you have any proof that youre responsible, etc?

second of all have you taken any classes like child development classes or have recommendation from other people that can re-assure people that youre good at what you do?

  5. Find people you know at your church that need a nanny or babysitter.

  6. I think the main problem is, parents don't want a complete stranger babysiting their kids. So, they won't hire you if they don't know you. A good way to get a babysitting job is letting people know you are responsible. By doing that, the parents will trust you and want their children around you. Maybe someone can give you some recomendations. If you aren't living in a neighborhood with lots of kids, then it's going to be a little bit challenging. Recomendations will make parents think twice about your adds.

Also, you can volunteer at a nursery or a daycare in your community. Preschools are always looking for extra helping hands... my friend volunteered at her old preschool. That can also help. This would defenitly show how responsible you are. Then in your flyers or whatever, you can say that you are exprienced with children. (Parents want babysitters who are expirienced with kids and have been around them)

    Hope this helped. Good luck!

  7. The way the world is today, many parents are reluctant to leave their children with a stranger. You say a teenager, but not how old, there is a difference between 13 and 17, that can make a difference in whether you are hired or not.

Your best bet would be to try volunteering in a daycare, or after school program, or work in a daycare after school(if you are old enough). When parents know you, they are more willing to hire you. You could also try and find a mothers helper position(where you help a mom care for her children). I have gotten all of my babysitting jobs from the daycare I used to work at, and recommendations from parents to their friends and relatives.

It could also be your ad, many people are not very good at making a ad and therefore no one reads it. Remember, clear and to the point is the best ad. Always have something to draw in attention(colors, pictures, etc). and then keep the wording as short as possible(the average ad is scanned for info in a few seconds).

    Key points:

-Be sure you are certified by the red cross(cpr, first aid, etc)

-Take as many courses as you can to boost your "resume"

-Try to get any job for now, just so you can have references.

-Volunteer in places with children(again, so parents are confident you know how to care for children).

-Make sure you ad is not the problem.

  8. When i started off i took corses and got licenced for many things while i was in highschool. Such as cpr and poision control issues. Having thos papers really made parents like me.

  9. first off how old are you

    second are you certified??

also what are you charging and do you have proof that you are responsible (aka certification)

you can get certifed by the Red Cross just ask your school counsler or the police station, hospital, fire department they will know how to get in touch with Red Cross to find a place and time for certification class

  10. Do you have red cross certification?

Do you belong to a networkable group, such as a church group or a neighborhood association?  If you get to know people in that environment, they will trust you and know who you are.  Mostly, people like to know you a little bit, so make yourself visible.

  11. did u try taking a class to get a license or permit for babysitting? try google it or check ur community recreation center usually they offer a class..try getting CPR so ur certified if the kid chokes or something

  12. Honestly? Its probelm because they dont know you very well. Start off as a mommy helper. That way your helping a Mother around the house with her children and she can get to know you and you can get to know the kids. So when she's picking a babysitter she'll know who to trust! She'll also probably network for you because she knows how great you are with children.
