  1. I would persevere if I were you - orchids are well worth it.

It doesn't want to be in direct sunlight. Water it from the bottom.

They don't always flower every year.

    Best wishes. h

  2. Do you feed it? If not go to garden centre and good orchid feed and follow instructions.

Also you do need to cut it back when it loses it's flowers. I don't know the orchid you have but take it to the garden centre with you and they advise re cutting it back. Then it will flower again. If you don't cut it back the plant is using all the available nutrient to keep the leaves going.

  3. I only know that my own orchid would only flower when it got plenty of sun so I kept it near the sunniest window in the house. Not right on the windowsill though cos the leaves got burnt a bit.

  4. Differing growing conditions are required for different orchids,,, in this case "one size does not fit all".  The site I have listed here is about the best out there, at least that I have found.  I have 3 different orchids and without the help from this site I would've given up on them long ago.

  5. by Orchid? lol sorry

  6. try giving it some fertilizer.it should flower again.

  7. Just continue on taking care of it.  You pound 2 or 3 egg shells and mix it with 2 cups of water to water it everyday.  Also, be sure to sing mellow songs everytime you water it :)

    Cheers!!!!!

  8. Do you feed the Orchid "orchid food"?

    Or

Is the pot airy because it should be because the orchid is a air plant?

    Or

What os the temp. of your house?  Orchids (at least tropical ones) like 67-73 F temp.  Too cold can kill the tropical plant

    Or

What kind of orcchid is it?  I know Phalaenpsis (Moth) Orchids bloom 1 to 2x a year, in the winter and late summer.  But they can be made to bloom at different times of the year.  I think one thing you could do is check what kind of orchid you have and research that.
