Does he have something against them? I'm serious. Believers only on this one.

  1. Because healing amputees is "impossible." If He healed all Christian amputees, it would be a clear miracle, making it nearly impossible to not believe, taking away our choice.

  2. I think it has to do with the laws of nature.  God did not make us with appendages that grow back.

But I also think that people take different views of Biblical interpretation.  For example, I am a dispensationalist, and I believe we live in the post-apostolic church age.  The miracles God used to raise up His church I do not see occurring today (blind seeing, lame walking).  There are some prophets claiming to do these things, and I generally avoid the issue and them.

Salvation is by faith.  Healing is by faith.  God has also endowed modern man with many wonders in medicine, including some state of the art prosthetics.

  3. Maybe he just doesn't want to.

If so, would he be worth worshiping?

  4. God gives us challenges in our life.  Healing isn't physical but spiritual.

  5. i think the link says it all....

  6. Agnostic here.

Even if 'god' exists, he/she/it doesn't necessarily perform 'miracles'.

Any claims that they do is simply an attempt by people to show 'concerete' evidence for the existence and 'power' of their deity.

  7. Maybe their Faith isn't strong enough, Who knows.

  8. Why does God not make you ruler of the world?

  9. Because of unbelief! There were times that even Jesus could not perform  miracles:

    Mark 6:4-6

" 4But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

5And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

6And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching. "

  10. How can he heal them if he doesn't exist?

  11. The truth is that the Word of God never promised such healing for the lame.

Biblically, amputees are referred to as the "lame."  In Luke 7:22 Jesus said... "Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached."  Jesus healed amputees, making the lame to walk, the blind to see, and the deaf to hear; BUT, apart from the miracles of the New Testament, there are NO recorded evidences of amputees being divinely healed.

Keep in mind that Jesus performed the works He did, as no other man ever did, to prove to mankind that He was God in the flesh... "If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.  But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause" (John 15:24,25).

  12. My dear, amputees are not in need of healing, but dealing, coming to terms on living a different life. Yes a more difficult life, but a new one at that.

WE are not in control of all that happens to us, but we ARE in control of our reaction. As difficult as some people have it, it is a choice to feel sorry for ones self and live a sad and depressing life, or one can overcome the obsticles and make the best of who they are. We all face challenges in our lives, some more harsh than others, but never the less how we take on these challenges will determine the quality of life we WANT to live.

  13. Your question makes no sense.  Of course God heals amputees.  In the resurrection, every hair, every limb, every bone will be restored to its proper place.

The real question is, What will it take for you to suspend your disbelief?  Many incredible things are true.

  14. Death has passed upon all men because of Adam.  The Bible discusses this.  You should try reading it if you're really this concerned (lol.)

  15. I appreciate how you've asked why He will not, instead of cannot.

Let me try to answer your question with another question.  Suppose God healed everyone as soon as they lost a limb.  What would the outcome be?  Would you be as careful with your life and others if that was so?

God may not have allowed us to regrow our legs, but there is a miracle and a plan behind the fact that we have amputees; the only other alternative is dying from such devastating injuries!
