  1. Well your husband is very misinformed.

Interpol is very active in the fight against "human trafficing" be it illegal immigration or the s*x slavery trade.  You'll find a wealth of information via the Interpol website.

One thing most people don't understand about Interpol is it's not a police force, it's an information clearing house that provides secure communications channels between different nations police forces and also acts as a data source on criminal activities globally as well as promoting co-operation between different countries and training etc.  See the links below for more information.

  2. I can not compete with Al but I do know about this subject and relative answer.

Interpol is an agency that is sort of the international law enforcement branch of all the Governments that participate in it's police departments. To put it in perspective, it's NOT like here in the US, where all of the PD interacts with one another, or so it's supposed to be.  Interpol is international and is a very good department or league of departments, it has a vast network of agencies that encompass very large area of the entire civilized world.

Now that it's been defined as what it truly is, let's take a look at how it works.

It investigates crimes that are worldwide, within certain parameters. They can not initiate an invesigation unless called upon to do so. That being said, they have been called to investigate this particular matter but, in all fairness to them, the folks that are commiting these crimes are well heeled, both financially and weapon wise. They traffic in human slavery for a great profit and life means nothing to them.

Women that they traffic in are merely pieces of meat, once they are sold they can be resold again and again.

All of this takes place within a vast network of dark and dreary places that change just as quickly as they need to. They are constantly on the move, much like a canival that goes from town to town.

To think that it's unstructured is a big mistake, every form of orgainized crime is involved in one way or another. Many people have hands in this mix.

There are several agencies that are trying to get these people but the nework is far too vast, too volitile, too mobile.

Part of the problem is the people that utilize this trade, the pimps and the Johns.

The Johns are in the upper cruxt of the population, rich people that can afford to play this deadly game and have a stake in all of it, where it goes, where it stays, how it grows. They will kill anyone and everyone that gets in its path, leaving nothing but death and destruction in it's wake.

Now, because of the wealth and the power that these men and women hold, it's darn near impossible to break into the system they have devised, the network that exists.

Those that run these things are well aware of the actions that are being taken against them.

They are aware because they are told by the very people that are paid to find them and prosecute them.

It's a long way to come to this conclusion but I needed to explain it fully, for it it be understood.

Like you, I wish and I pray that somehow, somewhere, the forces that commit these acts of cowardice and inhumanity be found and dealt with, severely.

  4. s*x Slavery is all over the world, but it is not really the type of crime that Interpol gets involved with.

s*x Slavery is something that can be solved inside individual nations, like inside the USA, if those nations were really interested in stopping it.

I think the nation that is doing the best job, to eliminate it within its borders, is Canada.

The role of Interpol is more to deal with criminals involved in crimes, that are recognized as crimes by the individual nations, or involve criminals doing a serious crime in one nation, then running away to another nation.

The role of Interpol is not to impose morality on other nations.

For example, in Nigeria, if a woman is raped, the punishment includes killing the woman, because "letting herself be overpowered by rapists", unser Sharia Law, is considered to be more serious crime than what the rapist did.

If anyone in some other nation ever changes Nigeria to become more one with the attitudes of the rest of the world, it aint going to be Interpol.

In the USA, the death sentence includes executing children and the mentally disabled.  Most other nations in the world have banned execution of minors and people whose mental disease means they not understand what they did.

If any organization is ever going to change USA behavior on this, it won't be Interpol.

Interpol role is to go after the CRIMINALS who are defined as criminals, not by Interpol, but by the NATIONS where the criminals did their deeds.

Nigeria does not call the executioners of raped women as criminals, just as the USA does not consider it criminal to execute children and the mentally disabled when a court decides that's the appropriate action.  Interpol is going to do nothing about that.

s*x Slavery is considered a serious crime by many PEOPLE but NOT by many governments, certainly not by the major nations like USA, Russia, Europe, or major nations of Asia.

Murder is considered serious by many nations, not all, so someone who murders in one nation, escapes justice, sometimes they use Interpol to try to track that person down.

  5. It's controlled by the Russian mob, and they get a kickback from it.

  6. Got any references to these "s*x slaveries"?

  7. That's because they are a computer agency in charge of keeping records, not making arrests.

  8. Interpol does not have much authorization to operate in a country without that country's permission. Even if they have the blessing of that country, there's nothing much they can do, it's their own police force that have to do the controlling of such crimes

  9. because it's cold in russia....they got to find something to warm them up besides vodka.  Plus, Rock n Roll/rap/ and "s*x in the city" been slaving women into s*x here in USA for years.

  10. Interpol is a joke.

  11. too much $$$$$$$$

  12. That is like asking why American law enforcement has not stopped the drug trade?  It is not that simple.
