Why won't it let me upload my site?

yourdomainname.index.htm

That should be enough to upload in either FTP or your host's file transfer, right? If not, what am I doing wrong??

I also tried yourdomainname.com.index.htm just in case and that didn't work either.

its yourdomain.com/index.htm .

depending on your file extension it could be .html , .php etc..

The file you upload should just be simply index.htm.  Then the address itself would be yourdomainname.com/index.htm.

EDIT: It could also be that whatever you're uploading to doesn't allow .htm files.  You can simply change it to .html (same file type except one is a shortened form, like .jpg and .jpeg are the same).
