Why won't many basketball players wear Jordans?

I thought Jordans were supposed to be really good shoes for basketball, but why don't I see many players wearing them? They just wear Reeboks and the regular Nikes.

well first you're usually signed a contract, so you can't wear other brand's shoes.

Plus although Jordans are expensive and supposedly better basketball shoes, they are mostly flash and aren't the best performance sneakers.  The best performance and comfort shoes still go to Nike, who make the lightest and most supportive basketball shoes

Yea a lot of NBA players have endorsements with Adidas, Nike, and Reebok. And some players might wear a shoe brand endorsed by one of their friends or teamates to show support.

they like to wear their own...some wear and1....nike...stuff like that....plus jordans are ugly

Jordan is just a Brand name. You don't get Jordan's abilities by wearing the shoes...lol. It's probably doesn't feel comfortable for most people.

simple regular basketball shoes cost about $50 were Jordan's will run you about $100. Plus now a day people don't care about MJ, they care about Kobe, James, Iverson etc. So the market is flooded as well

Some shoe companies have contracts with these players...Nike don't have a partnership with everybody in the NBA.

You got to be on the "Jordan Team" to wear them. Some of the players that are the team are Carmelo, Chris paul, Mike Bibby, Derek Anderson, and Josh Howard.

Because a lot of players that play often, like myself, only care about comfort and how they fit. I could care less if my basketball shoes cost only $40. Buying Jordan's will not make you a better player. There's no point in it for me to buy 100+ dollar basketball shoes. I play just fine in my basketball shoes.

A lot of star NBA players have their own line of shoes so they wear those.
