Why won't my 2002 corolla play burned cds???

Question

my friend has a 01 corolla and is able to play burned cds in her car cd player, so i don't understand why my burned cds won't work in my 02 corolla cd player! can someone help me????

Because her Corolla has the MP3 cd player option.

Not all cars come with that type of CD player.

I'm not sure if this will help you but are the CDs finalized?  I know my stereo in my car won't play burnt CDs unless they have been finalized.  It's an option you can choose when you're burning the CD.

is the cd's burned at the same speed? if you burn'em at slow to medium should work anything faster will not 4x or slower

Buy a CD receiver with MP3/WMA playback option.
