Question:

Why won't my Impatience bloom?

This is probably the first year my Impatience hasn't bloomed for me...I've been planting them for over 40 years. Did I get bad potting soil (I bought Miracle Grow), or did they get too much rain? I'm so disappointed they aren't blooming and full and pretty this year!!

  1. Is there a chance that you may have gotten a bit of lawn fertilizer on the soil around them?  That promotes foliage growth, therefore you might not have as many flowers.  Just a thought.

  2. Did you use Miracle Grow potting soil with fertilizer in it?  If so, you will have more foliage than blooms on impatiens.
