Why won't my Ipod work on my Xbox 360?

Question

When I plug it in, it says "Do not disconnect", but it doesn't show up as a media source. It's a 5th generation. However, my sisters Ipod works and hers is a 6th generation. Is mine too old to work with it or something? Is there anything I can do to update it to make it work?

The ipod you have has the wrong firmware for the xbox 360

if it wont work then you can connect the xbox with the computer and it will find itunes and it will work hope i helped

ipods wont work on the 360's

it doesn't work.  Apple stuff doesn't work with other stuff.  In fact, if Windows wasn't on 90 percent of computers, the iPod wouldn't work with that either.
