Question:

Why won't my Pantech Duo delete my text messages?

I have texts like all the way back from May. I'm glad my phone holds a lot of text messages but it wont delete them It literally take the whole day to delete them but everytime they're deleted like messeges in my draft folders or deleted items, I would turn my phone off and turn them back on and I'd find the same text messages back in the folders. So it's like I can never delete my texts. It's frustrating me.

Any ideas?

  1. Ok so i've had the same problem and been struggling with it for days.

Mine was so bad i couldn't even get texts unless i turned my phone off and back on.

I've looked at a bunch of blogs and forums for days and no one has a good answer. However i have just appeared to have fixed mine.

Here's what i've come up with.

The problem apparently is that your memory is so full it has no place  to put them temporarily when you try to delete them.

Here's what I did to fix it:

Plug your phone into your computer and move all your pictures, songs, ringtones, videos, and other things that take up alot of memory onto your computer

Store it where you can remember it.

***You need to move enough stuff off your phone that when you turn it off and on you do not get that intro message that your phone's memory is running low***

Then go though your text folders and clear all or delete all or delete all read.

(Clear all leaves your messages stored on your SIM; the delete functions don't)

Then give your phone half an hour or so to get this through it's thick skull.

    Turn it off.

    Back on..

and they should all be gone.

Then go put your picture and music .etc back on your phone.

    Simple as that

    Leave it to an Aggie

Hope this works for you too.
