Question:

Why won't my WII work any more?

It was working just fine. Then, we had a power outage. All the stuff in the house went out. Then it all came back on. Except the WII.

No power. No connection to the TV. I don't know how to fix it. Anyone know?

  1. As Inuyasha said, just tell them something like it just stopped working, don't mention the power surge. You might be able to pull it off ;)

Plus even if you send it it, there's a better chance that they wont find out and send you a new Wii Vs. them finding out about the power surge because they can't just tell you a power surge happened because the're no proof!!!

  2. This has happened to me before more than once just unplug the Wii for just a little bit like about 10 min or more if you want then just plug it back in and should work like fine again, if not then ehh you need a new one or get it for repairs

  3. Try turning on the wii from the button on the wii itself and not the controller. If that doesn't work then you are out of luck (and $250)

  4. its just like during a thunder storm and you leave the computer on...it will mess it up

  5. The power surge may have messed up the Wii. If you have an extended warrenty I would take it in to get looked at.  Otherwise I think your outta luck b/c power surges arent covered in the regular Nintendo Warrenty.

  6. Sounds like it got struck by lightening, if u have a warrenty i would call up the compy that makes Wii and be like it stoped working, then u will have to mail yours in and then they will give you a new one if you talk to them just right, i would say "it stoped working in the midle of playing a game" just make sure you dont tell them it was storming out o.o
