Why won't my calculator work?

I just bought a graphing calculator for my college math 103 class... it's a casio fx-9750G plus power graphic and it will just not work...

and I can't return it since it's been opened (the store I bought it at has a no return if opened policy)

it won't work because casios suck.  try texas instruments
