Question:

Why won't my camera zoom in and out?

I have a SANYO digital camera (VPC-T850) and when I'm recording a video it doesn't want to zoom in or zoom out at all. The only time you can zoom in or zoom is before you start recording and then when you choose the distance you and start to record it gets stuck there.

  1. that is probably just the way the camera was made.. check the owners manual or call sony customer care for further information

  2. Maybe your camera doesn't allow you to. Find your manual or download it online and look there.

But if it does allow you to (or at least is supposed to) then hope you're still under warranty and have someone fix it. If you're not under warranty then you just have to live with it... There's probably something broken.

Maybe if you know how to do this you can find a firmware upgrade for you cam and do that. There may be something wrong software-wise if it can still zoom in on picture mode. I did that on my DSLR to fix something that somehow went wrong.
