Why won't my car clock/LED turn off?

My mother has an extra key to my Honda Civic. A couple days ago, she jammed the key in the ignition. We got it out, but now we have a problem.

When I turn my car off and I take my keys out, the clock/radio/led screen will not turn off. I don't know why this is happening.

  1. Yah the above answer sounds right, when the key is removed from the ignition switch it senses that and shuts off all accesories. When the key got jammed or while it was being removed it must have damaged the switch.

  2. well you jammed the key in the ignition...damaged the switch...replace.

Good luck. Also, hugs and kisses on all your pink parts.

  3. The switch is damaged and now you can remove the key without it being in the lock position. Make sure the ignition switch is in the lock position and this should take care of the problem till you can replace the switch.

  4. It just got damaged when you pulled it out of the ignition. If you take it to your Honda dealer, they will fix it.

The first guy is right, but he's creepy.

  5. I agree with Chris....he's creepy.  LOL
