Why won't my computer turn off?

Question

My new sony vaio won't turn off. I installed avast antivirus software and ca antivirus software, so maybe this has something to do with it?

When I press ctrl alt del and I try to open task manager it says "failed security options"

It's all rather strange...

i think u'r the os loaded in u'r vaio has been is partially corrupted try to reinstall a fresh copy of os.

Well, first off, you shouldn't have two different antivirus programs on one computer, so delete the one you like least.  

Second, it is never reccmended normally, but if it absolutely wont turn off you can hold down the power button until it does.
