Why won't my crab rangoon stay together?

I have no problem cooking wontons or eggrolls but whenever I try to cook crab rangoon my goons swell up to the point that almost all the cheese mixture leaks out into the deep fryer. What's the secret to doing this properly.

  1. make sure to press the sides together with a fork.... use water to seal

    you might also be putting too much filling in them?

    also they dont need to cook long..... the longer you cook them the cheese will start to fry away if they leak at all so when you bite into them they will be hallow


  2. more egg to seal the edges and less filling, leaving more space for the cream cheese to expand.
