Why won't my headache go away?

Question

I have had a headache since sunday evening now. I am 12 weeks pregnant and have been taking paracetamol but its not helping. What else can I do to get rid of it? Any ideas please?X

Make sure you are drinking enough water. its prob partly your hormones, are you anxious about anything?

i can totally sympathise with you.  i suffer from migraines and at around 12 weeks i was getting a headache every couple of weeks that was lasting for three to four days.  paracetamol did nothing for me either so in the end i stopped taking it.  try a cold compress on the back of your neck and on your forehead, a piece of wet kitchen towel will do if you don't have a flannel, i also found that running my head and neck under a cold shower helped (didn't get in though, that would just be torture!), try keeping your head and neck as still as possible too.  ask your partner to massage your head a bit too, i find the back of my head or around my temples helped best....the good news is i haven't had a headache now since about 18 weeks (I'm 26 weeks now) so they should pass....good luck with your pregnancy and hope the headache eases soon x

I had always used peppermint oil to get rid of pesky headaches. My doctor told me I wasn't allowed to use it after 6 months.

I was also told I was allowed to use the occasional tylenol, Just never aspirin.

Are you sure its not your bloodpressure?i had headaches from the start of my pregnancy and it was  due to high bloodpressure,get yourself checked by doctor just to be sure

try going to the optitions no joke. After i was preg i kept getting headaches turns out being preg adapts parts of your body you would not expect it to and i needed to wear glasses just for a few months. IT could also be down to hormonal changes x
