I am 25 years old and I had several pulmonary embolisms right after I had a C-section with my second child. I sat in the waiting room in the ER for hours and my heart was swelling the entire time. It has been almost 9 months since then and my heart rate still will not drop below 110 even resting and it feels like someone is squeezing my heart when I take any deep breath. I have asked my doctor several times but he never really gives me an answer. I guess if he doesn't consider it a problem maybe it isn't

  1. Eat less animal fat like meat, eggs, cheese & ice cream.

  2. Go to another doctor as soon as you can! My boyfriend was 25 when his heart rate would not go down(but his was 130 and higher)! He had a virus attack his heart after he had had his wisdom teeth removed.  He eventually had a heart pump put in then about year later a heart transplant! He waited so long to see another doctor.  I not sure if it would have helped but not knowing is worse.  Please see a different doctor soon!

  3. You need to tell (not ask) your doctor to refer you to a Cardiologist.
