Why won't my ipod take anymore mp3's into it?

I manually put in my songs.

It says this : There is not enough room on "[myname]'s" ipod to copy all of the requested files.Itunes will copy as many files as possible.

Mine is an ipod nano with 4GB.

& it's only been filled 2 GB of music.

But it has nothing else, no photo's, no contacts, no podcasts either.

But at the bottom og itunes it says i have :

•2 GB of audio.

•1.68 GB of "other"

•1.5 MB of free space

I need help.

uh maybe your trying to put more than 2GB of files on at once.  also, the actual memory is a little less than 4GB
