Why won't my ipod wont show up on itunes?

i've tried resetting it, reopening itunes, and even turning off the computer. nothing works! whats wrong with it?

You should try to uninstall the itunes version you currently have and then download the latest itunes version, once done that check if your usb port is working properly.

go to start>control panel>system> click on the hardware tab > click on hardware administration> click on the name of your computer > click on the buttom that looks like a PC with a magnifying glass (search for changes in the hardware).

Normally this is a plug and play unit but it should work once you install the new itunes version.
