  1. First remove the old gas, then take out the spark plug. Clean  or replace plug. While u have the plug out pull the rope a few times to clear cylinder out. Clean or replace air filter. If it still won't run pour just a little gas in the carb., not to much.

  2. The gas has probably turned bad from sitting....empty the gas tank and put fresh gas in it...take plug out and leave it attached to wire and pull the cord and see if its getting a good blue-white spark if not replace that too. Check oil and make sure their is enough and no water on the dipstick if there is change it. Make sure the blade is sharp it just makes the lawn look so much better. If you get tired of pulling the cord try a spray of starting fluid.  Good luck

  3. 1st make sure it has oil

2nd check the spark plug.  If it's been in storage for a year it may be corroded and not getting any spark.

  4. Drain the gas bowl, remove and clean needle valve, spray with parts cleaner. flush all old gas.

  5. Next time:  Before you store it for the winter add Stabil fuel stabilizer to the gas and run it for a 5 minutes to get the stuff in the whole system.  That will take care of the carberator plugging problem next time.    A little goes a long way so read the instructions.  Now, since it is a newer mower most likely the spark plug is ok (could be bad, but not as likely since it worked when you parked it).   Buy some carberator cleaner spray.  Take off the air filter and shoot a good dose in the carberator.  Attempt to start it immediately.  Repeat another shot and repeat.  It may take 3 times before the gunk is loose enough to let fuel through, but that is about all it should take.  Another thing you can do is add roughly half a teaspoon or so of gas directly into the carberator to "prime" it.  With the choke on attempt to start it.  It should start pretty quick.  If it dies just repeat a dose of gas.  The running motor will "pull" the fuel from the tank to the carb and take over on it's own.  If it doesn't then you have a stoppage in the fuel system.

  6. Try cleaning the spark plug or buy a new one for it. If that doesn't work add more oil to it, or but a new carburetor.

  7. 1) Make Sure all the Grass on the underside is out of rage of center shaft

    2) Make sure the Air filter is not cloged. Make sure there is no grass or debris in filter housing. Also Sheck around exhaust Housing for debris & Grass.

    3) Make sure there is plenty of oil in it, it may need oil change.

    4) Check Spark Plug for grit & Dirt, you can probably use the same one if it the mower is less than three years old. if not, Go to Local Lowes or Home Depot for ne Spark Plug.

    5) Check Gap in Plug & Owners Manual for proper gap & make sure the Threads are clean on the plug & Mower.

    6) IF the Mower has a saftley bar make sure it is in the Closed position to the Handle.

    7) Use Red bubble like Button on mower head to Prime engine, 1 or 2 pump should do.

    8) Pull cord. IT should start by 3rd pull.

  8. if there was gas in it then the gas has gone bad and plugged up the carb.
