Why won't my new PC game run?

Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars... I just installed it and clicked to play it, and this message comes up:

"Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the display control panel."

I just installed the DirectX 9.0, I made sure my hardware acceleration is enabled, and I have no idea how to check if my video card meets the requirements. If it's asking if I have the right OS and everything, that should all be in check because I'm running a compatible OS and with enough memory (the game installed fine so there's enough space) so what can I do to troubleshoot this? Thanks :)

  1. It may be your video card to check it just click on your keyboard the windows sign and r button and the same time then write dxdiag if a pop up comes click yes and then click display it will show you your graphics card then check if that card is supported

  2. Ive had this problem before. Im pretty sure all I did was uninstall and reinstall the last version of directx9.0c.
