Why won't my new Windows Vista computer let me login to certain sites?

We recently got a new computer, but everytime I try to login to livejournal and click enter the page just refreshes and nothing happens. If I try to login to hotmail my computer won't even show the login page. And for gmail all the messages are screwed up and I can't even see them unless I use the older version. Can someone explain ANY of this to me? thanks in advanced!

That sounds more like a browser problem than a Vista problem.  If you're not already using Firefox, try downloading it (it might be tough to do).

Sounds like you just need to reset your security settings lower. Hit start , control panel, then security settings.

Doesn't sound like Vista, what browser are you using?
