Question:

Why won't my outdoor water spickets handle turn?

We have Woodford (brand) water spickets outside. We have two out side that work, but we have two in the garage, one is hot water, one is cold, that we cannot turn the handles. They won't budge at all. We would like to start using them, but don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for any help.

  1. I am assuming you mean spigots.  In that case, perhaps they are rusty.  If they are then I would suggest using a "good dose" of WD-40 or something that would cut the rust and allow you to turn the spigot.  Good luck.

  2. You can replace them.Or loosen the stem with a wrench on the body cap.
