Why won't my pullstring on the lawn mower pull out?

That really stinks! What is the make of the unit?..

Good luck  Tip the mower up and look to see if something is hung up in the blades like a big rock or a can etc. Good luck

The engine got to hot that's why it stalled.

Also the pullstring wont pull out because it is most probably jamed, you may have to take it apart.
