Why won't my son feed himself?

He is almost 11 months old and will not put food in his mouth. He will put it in his hand and just hold it or purposely throw it on the floor. I have given him every opportunity to feed himself. I put different foods in front of him everytime I feed him. I give him one to try it and then if he wants more, he would have to do it. I have tried giving him a lot at once and just a couple. And Nothing happens. He makes no effort to bring it to his mouth. What can I do? I am moving in a month and it would be easier if he fed himself and I could just give him table food.

  1. Try putting in the high chair when he is hungry and and give him Cheerios and wait 5 to 10 minutes to see if he figures it out you can show him also by slowly picking it up and slowly bringing it into your mouth. He might just like the attention from you and figures you are faster at feeding him then he would be. Just keep encouraging him everybody moves at their own pace.
