Why won't my task bar unlock?

I really want to unlock the task bar on my desktop, but it won't let me for some reason. I can right click on it and choose "unlock task bar" but the check mark doesn't go away. I tried going into properties and unlocking the task bar but it doesn't do anything either. I guess it's really no big deal but it is just really annoying! Why won't it unlock??

Make sure that you have administrator privileges. That should resolve it and you'll be good to go! - Good luck!
