Why won't my torrent play?

i have a bit torrent client and i downloaded a season of mythbusters (not like that really matters though) it is done seeding weeding and all that other c**p and is 100% done. but it won't play the videos! how do i get them to play?

is it an avi. file/format? Or any other? Details dude. Just down K Lite Media Codec Pack and install and it should play almost everything. VLC also works too. They all include their own player too :)

google them and download.
