Why won't my wii controller do actions?

My wii controller will not let me do actions. I can choose the game but it won't let me do any of the actions like drive, serve, and hit or pitch

  1. As far as I know, only 2 things could be wrong.

    1) The batteries might be low.

    OR

    2) There could be something wrong with the sensor bar. Maybe it was not placed exactly at the spot it should be put it. Maybe the sensor bar isn't working.

  3. i think this happened to me a while back.  customer support told me the internal motion sensor on the remote got stuck.  they then told me to hold the remote so that the front of it is facing down.  after that you hit the remote down onto your hand and it should knock the sensor back out.  it worked perfect for me.  hope this helps.

  4. Are the batteries low? Try re-syncing the Wiiremote to the Wii. Try turning the Wii off the around 10 minutes. Check to make sure the sensor bar is set to the right distance for you to play.
