Why won't my wii let me play gamecube games?

Okay, it worked a week ago, then I moved it's location, and the first time I tried to play a gamecube game on it, since i moved it was today. So, i put the game in, chose the game channel. and press play or whatever it says. Then it switches to the gamecube screen. My wireless gamecube controller is working fine, I believe. the senser thing shows that it is working, because it lights up. But, it wont let me control anything, is the problem. I already tried:

- Resetting the game.

- Turning off and on the wii

- Trying a different controller

- Trying a different game

nothing is working.

The only thing I could think of, would be trying a wired controller.

What shoudl I do?

  1. YES THE WII PLAYS GC GAMES I PLAY MARIO BASEBALL all the time...im not really sure wot u can do but if u reset it...mr ressetti will give u a lecture...jk...

try calling the manufacturer  maybe ure wii has an error reading gc discs all of a sudden

make sure the disc is facing right   (make sure the pic on the disc is facing ure right)

  2. its a gamecube not a wii game and game cube games are smaller lol everyone nows that

  3. are you putting the disk in the right  way? i did that b4...the front of the game disk with the picture on it faces right when you put it in the wii. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... please?

  4. same thing happened to me when i bought my wii with the wii sports...I put the disc in the wrong way. You should just flip it over and put it in cause you put it in the wrong way.

  5. call nintendo and talk to them it should work and make sure you give them a piece of your mind

  6. Make sure you are plugging the controller in the right slot.  The Gamecube controller ports on the Wii are backwards than how they were on the Gamecube.  The Player 1 slot is the one the is closest to the front of the Wii.
