Question:

Why won't nails hammer into my walls?

I put in a few yesterday to hang stuff on, and they went in fine, but today I can't get any in at all, even in the same areas. I'm ruining my walls, and it's not fun, especially since they were recently painted. My walls are plaster, not drywall, otherwise I could just use a tack.

  3. You say the walls are plaster.  Often the top coat of plaster is placed over a very hard undercoat, very hard.  Us a masonry drill bit and a hollow wall anchor

  4. B/C wall could be concrete or plastic esp. if its a dorm room.

  5. Your best bet is to use concrete screws

  6. Drill a pilot hole smaller than the nail diameter then your nail will go right in.

  7. use a stronger nail

  8. It's probably concrete. Use tape:)
