Why won't the NBA have the iranian player?!!?

come on know don't let politics get in the way with b-ball! this is the dudes dream, unfortunatley politicians have to get in the way(AGAIN!). don't you think the nba is taking it to hard on the guy?

I dont thinks so I know that IRAN has a great players in baskettball but let be honest they arent as great as playing in NBA they are good but they shoud raise their ability we saw in the olympic that iranian player should work harder to become full professionall in basketball  So I think its not political  that iranian players havent allowed to play in NBA on the other hand I think its becuase of their performance we should develope that sport in our country after that if they dont choose our stars to play in NBA we can say that the reason is politic but not now.

Well, these guys, I mean American NBA commissioners, are trying to involve politics in sports and it's so bad, cuz they brag about their democracy!

Anyway he's one of the best players of Iran, as u know, and leads the Olympics games, I think, at 2 stats: Rebounds, 10.3 rpg., and blocks, 2.5 bpg. and he scores very well, specially under the basket. He'll turn into one of the best players in NBA, if he goes there. But I'll become pretty disappointed about USA if he isn't allowed to make it to the NBA.

There is a rule against giving any type of contract to Iranian people. The NBA is attepting to get permission and if they succeed, he will be allowed to talk with NBA teams.

and when i get asked where my dad comes from i say iran
