  1. You answered it----one mention of utilizing own own resources and they turn green and go off on some tangent about the woes of a polar bear or melting ice.

  2. Is there an oil shortage? so far that question has never been answered. One expert says supplies are in decline the next says that there is plenty of oil. You will find this depends on who is writing their paychecks. Unless the government, not just democrats or republicans but both parties find a way to address the energy problem things will get alot worse. Republicans want to leave the oil and energy corporations alone and let market forces work the problem out.Democrats want to place windfall taxes on these corportations and place more regulations on them.

Both parties are right and both are wrong, first of all the principles of supply and demand are being manipulated by these companies. When oil companies leave tankers sitting in the ocean for weeks refusing to unload them, in order to create a shortage. Then the principles of supply and demand have been munipulated. When electric companies after paying $0.25 more per share the second quarter of this year versus the first quarter of this year and blame rising fuel costs most people would find this wrong. If they had lost money I could see the rise in rates, same way with anything else.

  3. they are pig headed-it's their way or the highway.

  4. We already have a free and open debate about energy. How are the Democrats silencing the other side?
