Why won't they paint Rome?

You should have noticed everywhere notices saying "this is an UNESCO world heritage "

Rome isn't like your house's front but something immensely important for Arts history.

It is like saying "let's go paint Coliseum "

I just moved to the US from Rome and I'm actually surprised how untidy it looks here. At least Rome has existed for thousands of years!

they are currently repainting all the anti-bush writings on the walls...

Hello,

Most of the building facades are made of marble or other stone.  They don't need to paint it as much as to pressure wash it.

That's the reason because people come to visit Rome. if you want to see clean and false facade, you can go to Disney......or in some Hotel for tourist.
