Question:

Why won't windows Server 2003 allow me to download Firefox 3.0?

When trying to download from Mozilla, a window pops up and asks me to add the site to the safe list. When I push 'add,' I get another pop up that says that I have to add the site in 'htpps." I have already done this. I still can not download. Do I need to change the security setting, and if so, how should they be configured?

  1. add http://*mozilla* and https://*mozilla*.

If that doesn't work then just try downloading it from an alternate source.

  2. I do not endorse lowering security.  But if you READ the messages that pop up, Firefox redirects you to one of several sites every time you click download.  To successfully download it, keep adding the site... after a few times, it will cycle back to a site that you've added and download fine.

  3. Lower the security setting to minimum, download firefox and install it, then up the security settings again.
