  1. Maybe your coach wants to give other girls a chance to swim the 50 free.

As a high school swim coach, my team would go through cycles where *everyone* wanted to swim the same event. The 100 breast stroke and 50 free were always popular. Everyone can't swim their first choice every time.

Be patient. And in the mean time, I encourage you to try different strokes and events. There's a lot more to swimming than the 50 free.

  2. Be a good team player and show your stuff in the relays.

Once he becomes convinced that you're in it for the team and not just for yourself, he'll put you in more individual events.

  3. hey, lol, i had a friend i called hannahbanner on my team, tigersharks. why dont u ask your coach why he wont let u, and wen he answers, explain it 2 him better

  4. let him see how good you are.

and he should eventually come to his sences.

    ohh and by the way...

being anchor might get your nerves all bundled up because he wont put you in the individual...

but take it from someone who swims on a team too...

anchor is an honor i guess you could call it.

that means that your the fastest and everyone is counting on you.

and that also means the coach wants you for a team effort...

he already realizes your potential and wants to get better relay times...

so dont get too mad about it.

he is just doing what he thinks is the best for the team.

    good luckk

    i hope i helpped.

  5. He probably just needs you to swim on the relay.  Relays usually count for a lot more points at swim meets than individual events, so maybe he thinks your relay can only win with you on it, and you'll end up scoring a lot more points that way.
