Why wont it connect to the network?

Question

I just downloaded limewire and when i search something a window pops up that it needs to connect to the network. how do i get it to do this because no matter how long i wait it doesnt...pleasee help

if its a wireless connection you will need the encryption code to log  on

Your computer has to be connected to the internet for limewire to work.  Evidently it isn't.
