Why wont my 360 go HD?

i have a sharp DTV and ive triple cheked where the cables need to be pluged in at and everything but it wont go HD please help im dying to play gta 4 in HD

  1. There is a switch on the cable coming out of your 360. Switch it. Then in the system settings you need to set your output at a different resolution. You will find this setting pretty easily in the system settings menu.
