  1. i have the same problem and none of these things worked

  2. First make sure your ipod touch is 2.0 firmware

Then make sure you have itunes 7.7

u can downlaod it from here

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Make sure in itunes the applications you have downlaoded for free are in your application thing, like you have music, podcasts, tv shows etc.

Then, when you connect your ipod, go to the Applications tab, click sync applications.

  3. You MUST select the apps  that you want to sync - by default itunes syncs nothing until you connect the iPod.

Look under its Applications Sub-Tab you select what you want to sync or ALL, (same with music, Calendars, Email and Music).

They 'Apply' then 'Sync' then they will be transfered.

  4. Do you have the 2.0 software update?  Because if you don't they wont go on your iPod, and if you do then maybe call apple...

  5. Since it says it won't sync them (which is what happened to mine at first), your computer may not be authorized for your iTunes account. then click on the tab on the left that says applications. Double click on any one of the apps, which it should then ask you if you want to authorize your computer for the applications (you're only able to authorize 5 different computers on each iTune account). Say yes, and enter in your password. Then go back to sync the applications, and it should work if that is the problem. Good Luck =]
