Why wont my POLARIS 2001 AUTO TRAILBLAZER start?

ok it has gas, it has oil, the spark plugs are great, electric start wont work, choke works, gas works, it gets gas fine, battery is fresh and working at its best, brakes are fine, electrical system is working fine(just bad starter). it makes me mad it sounds like there is nothing wrong with it. it started once only once. if i leave it alone for an hour or so and it will start for a few seconds and bog out. it makes me so mad. someone pleeze help.

  1. Sounds to me like it may be flooding.  If you are not a bit of a motor heard you may want to take it to the shop. But if you want to try to fix it..

    First off did you just buy it? If so where did it come from? bikes sold in different areas of the country come with different jets installed in the carbs. So if you live in the mountains and the bike came from sea level it needs smaller jets..

    Next has the bike sat for a LONG time if so then the floats may be stuck or "gummed up" Pull the float bowls off and check for varnish in the bottoms if you see any, you need to remove the carb and clean them out including the main jet passage and the idle jet passage.
